At ASG.glass, we understand the struggles you've encountered while searching for a professional custom glass manufacturer. As a glazier contractor, you've likely dealt with the frustration of being just one more account with big manufacturers. Meanwhile, many smaller manufacturers have let you down by producing glass in the wrong sizes, out of specifications, riddled with defects, and consistently failing to meet delivery timelines.

We work within a tolerance range of 1/16" to 1/8" in width and/or height for our glass panels, ensuring precision in our custom-made frameless shower doors.
A glass panel is considered defective if it is visible under the following conditions by ASTM:
1.) The observer moves away from the glass;
2.) The observer stands back 3 feet;
3.) The observer faces the glass straight-on at a 90-degree angle;
4.) The inspection is conducted in daylight (but not direct sunlight);
5.) The central 80% portion of the glass is inspected;
6.) The defect measures more than 1/4".
Size Issues:
If the glass panel falls within the tolerance range of 1/16" to 1/8" over or under the specified size, it is not classified as defective. In cases where a panel is slightly oversized and cannot be installed, the customer may either send the panel to our factory or have our driver pick it up on the next delivery for shaving down.
If the panel is slightly undersized within the tolerance, it can be installed with adjustment by the customer's installation team. If the panel is undersized by more than 1/8", we will remake it.
*Please note that if the error is due to the customer's measurements, the shave down or remake service will be subject to additional charges.
Defects:
A panel will be considered defective if it does not meet the tolerance standards specified in the ASTM norm.
Chips or Scratches:
Customers must inspect the glass at the time of pickup, or in the case of delivery, they have 24 consecutive hours to inspect and file a complaint following ASTM standards to have the panel remade at no cost.
